What’s Happening for Houston Veterans This Week (Sep 28 - Oct 4)
Happy Monday, Civvie!
We're closing out September with two big events happening this week for Houston-area veterans.
On Wednesday, the GovCom Road Show comes to Houston for a one-day government contracting summit bringing together government and industry leaders. Then Friday, the 33rd Annual Houston Stand Down brings veteran resources together under one roof, including VA benefits, housing, employment, health and wellness, and other support.
You may also notice there's no Civvie Connect this Wednesday. September gave us an extra Wednesday this month, so we'll be back to our regular rotation next Wednesday, October 7, in Spring. 🦅
Last week, we wrapped up our September events with The Civvie Connect in Katy. Another great group of veterans came out to connect, catch up, and meet some new people. Check out the group photo below! 📸
And one more thing.
Some big news from The Civvie is coming next week. 👀
We've been working on something special for Veterans Day, November 11, and we're almost ready to share it.
For now, mark your calendar. You're going to want to be there.
