🌟 THE CIVVIE SPOTLIGHT
Jackie Parker & Justin Viereck — The Axeperience
Jackie and her husband, Justin, run The Axeperience, an upscale axe-throwing venue in Tomball, built with one goal in mind: creating a place where people (especially veterans) can unplug, connect, and blow off some steam in a safe, welcoming environment.
The Axeperience has been open for just over two years and offers a mix of digital and traditional axe-throwing lanes, combining competition, fun, and a clean, family-friendly atmosphere. It’s designed to be approachable and fun, whether you’re coming with family, coworkers, or friends.
Jackie and Justin were also proud sponsors of the Houston Veterans Army–Navy Game Watch Party, showing up to support the local veteran community beyond their business walls.
Justin is a Marine Corps veteran, serving from 2003 to 2007, including overseas assignments with special operations protecting several U.S. embassies. Like many veterans, his transition to civilian life wasn’t easy. After leaving the Marines, he worked as a boilermaker and in other roles that required constant travel—tough to balance with family life and even tougher while managing PTSD.
Entrepreneurship became the path that finally fit.
Together, Jackie and Justin built The Axeperience not just as a business, but as something sustainable for their family and meaningful for the veteran community.
Supporting veterans isn’t just something The Axeperience talks about... it’s something they practice. They offer their largest ongoing discount (20% off to veterans), and they actively support other local veteran-friendly and veteran-owned businesses, including The Social Haus and Honor Home Management.
They’re also working to collaborate with veteran nonprofits like Victory for Veterans, supporting fundraising efforts and community events that directly give back to those who served.
Let’s show up for The Axeperience the same way they show up for our veteran community. Bring friends, spread the word, and support a business that consistently gives back.
When we support veteran-owned and veteran-friendly businesses, we help them continue serving the community that matters most.
